About the Perfect Quilt Assistant

The Perfect Quilt Assistant appears on the right side of Perfect Quilt when you first open it. The

Assistant explains every tool and menu item. The Assistant contains more information about

many features mentioned in this User’s Guide.

To get help for a tool or menu item, just hover the mouse over the tool and the Assistant will show

you help item you requested.

To Close the Assistant

To close the Assistant, click on the “X” Button in the upper right corner of the Assistant.

To Re-open the Assistant

To re-open the Assistant, click on the Help Icon in the Ribbon Bar.

Mastering the Mouse

Mastering the Mouse is half the battle to using a computer. Let’s learn the basic mouse

moves:

Click the Mouse: Click the left mouse button once. When we talk about clicking on a

menu item or tool in Perfect Quilt, you click the left mouse button.

Double Click the Mouse: Click the left mouse button two times rapidly.

Drag the Mouse: Hold down the left mouse button while you move the mouse. You

drag the mouse to draw patches.

Move the Mouse: Move the mouse without holding down any mouse buttons.

Click the Right Mouse Button: When you click the right mouse button in Perfect

Quilt, the program will show you a menu. You can then click the left mouse button to

choose a menu item.
