Affect All and Affect Individual
Perfect Quilt has options for working with blocks in quilts: Affect All and Affect Individual. You can choose to work with (affect) all the blocks at once in a quilt or with one block at a time.
About Affect All
When you select Affect All Blocks, whatever you do to one block will affect every other block in the Quilt Layout. For example, if you flip one block, all the other blocks in the quilt will flip.
You can also select and paint all same-colored patches in a quilt with the Select by Color Tool.
About Affect Individual
When you select Affect Individual Blocks, whatever you do to one block not affect any other block. For example, if you flip one block, only the block you selected will flip. The other blocks will be unaffected.
Choose between Affect All or Affect Individual
To select Affect All, open the Layout Menu and click on Affect All. When Affect All is checked, Affect All is active. When Affect All is not checked, Affect individual is active. The Status Bar indicates which option you have selected.
Tip: Affect All is Turned off with Sampler Block Setting
Affect All will not work if the Sampler Block setting is selected. Perfect Quilt treats every block as an individual block and so cannot paint, flip or rotate blocks at the same time. But, if you duplicate a block while using a sampler setting, the corresponding patches in the duplicates will paint if Affect All is turned on.
