Edit Color
You can change any color in the color palette to your own custom color.
1. Click the right mouse button on the color swatch that you want to change. A menu appears.
1. Click the Left mouse button on Edit Color. The Edit Color box appears.
1. You have two color models to work with, RGB and HSL. (See below for more information.) To pick a new color, click the mouse anywhere in the Color Rainbow box. You can "fine-tune" the color by sliding the bars to the right of the Color Rainbow box.
1. To change any other color, click on the color swatch in the palette at the bottom of the box. To reset the color to it's original value, click the Reset Button. Click Reset All to reset all the colors.
1. Click the OK Button to close the Color box and change the color. (or colors)
1. To save your new colors, click the right mouse button on any color swatch. A menu opens. Click on Save Palette. The Save Palette box opens. Name the palette and click the Save Button. You have just saved the palette with your new colors.
RGB Color Model
The RGB Color Model is based on combining values of Red, Blue and Green. By changing these values, you can make the entire range of colors. The Red, Blue and Green scales go from 0 (darkest) to 255 (lighest) The lower the number, the darker the color. For example, Black has an RGB value of 0, 0, and 0.
HSL Color Model
The HSL Color Model is based on Hue, Saturation and Lightness. The Hue slider changes the basic Hue (or color). The Saturation Slider changes the basic color from a pure color towards gray. The Lightness Slider changes the basic color from light to dark.
