How to Search for Blocks, Quilts and Other Files

The search function lets you search for any Perfect Quilt file by using keywords. For example, you can look for all the blocks that have the word "Wedding" in the filename.

To Search for a File

1. Select Search from the File Menu.

1. Type in the word you want to search for.

1. Check whether you want to search for an exact phrase, or any word in a phrase.

1. Check whether you want to search for a file name, a phrase in a note, blocks used in a quilt or a fabric's name.

1. Select the File type such as block, quilt, etc.

1. Select the folder you want to search. Use the Browse Button to locate the folder.

1. Click the Search Button.

1. Perfect Quilt will show you your search results. The search results include the file name plus a small picture of the block. (if applicable.) You can search again by clicking on the Search Again Button.

1. You can open a block that you found by double clicking on the block thumbnail.

1. Click the Close Button to cancel the search.
