Free Rotate Tool

Use the Free Rotate Tool to Free Rotate patches. See also the Rotate Left and Rotate Right Tools.

To Free Rotate Patches

1. Select the patch (or patches) you want to rotate.

1. Press the mouse button on the Free Rotate Tool. The cursor becomes a round circle with an arrow.

1. Place the cursor on any of the handles in the Select Box.

1. Drag the mouse to rotate the patch.

1. Release the mouse to finish.

1. To turn off rotation, click on any other tool.

TIP: To rotate the patch at a precise angle, select the "Rotation Increments Enabled" box and then select the angle you want. For example, to rotate a patch at 20 degrees, select 20. You can choose fractions of a degree.

For truly free rotation, click off the Rotation Increments Box.

TIP: The select box will always be rectangular no matter what angle the patch is.
