Patch Stamp Tool ![]()
Use the Patch Stamp Tool to draw patch stamps. Patch stamps are pre-drawn shapes such as flowers and leaves that you can use to create blocks.
To Select a Patch Stamp
1. Click the mouse on the Patch Stamp Tool to select it.
1. The Patch Stamps box opens.
1. Select a Patch Stamp folder by double clicking on it.
1. Select a patch stamp by clicking on it once. The patch stamp you select is highlighted in blue.
TIP: To select another folder, double click on the "move up a folder" folder at the top of the list of thumbnails and then select the other folder.
To Create a Patch Stamp
1. Place the mouse on the drawing grid. The cursor becomes a cross.
1. Click on the screen where you want to place the stamp. The stamp will appear. If you want to draw a larger stamp, push the left mouse button down and drag the mouse to draw the patch stamp.
1. If you want to rotate the patch stamp, click on the Rotatable Button. If you want to stretch (or distort) the patch stamp, click off the Rotatable Button.
1. Draw the patch stamp by dragging the mouse. You will see the patch appear as you drag the mouse.
1. Release the mouse to finish. Perfect Quilt will create the patch stamp.
Tip: To line up the patch stamp exactly on the grid, click on the Snap to Grid Tool.
Tip: All patch stamps are white. Once the patch stamp is on the screen, you can paint, move, rotate or stretch it just like any other patch.
