Quilt Wizard: Sashing Tab

You can add a plain or pieced Sash to any quilt. You can add an Inner Sash (between the blocks) or an Outer Sash. (around the blocks.)

To Add Sashes to a Quilt

1. Select Quilt from the Layout Menu.

1. Adjust the center of the quilt. Choose the size, number, and layout arrangement for the center of the quilt by clicking on the Layout and Size tabs.

1. Click on the Sashing Tab.

1. To add a sash between the blocks, check the Inner Sash box. Adjust both the width and height of the sash.

1. To add a sash around the blocks, check the Outer Sash box. Adjust both the width and height of the sash.

1. Click the Finish Button the layout the quilt.

Vertical or Horizontal only Sashes

You can adjust the height of the horizontal sashes and the width of the vertical sashes separately for special effects. If you want to create a quilt with only a horizontal sash, set the width to zero. For a quilt with only a vertical sash, set the height to zero.

TIP: To delete all sashes, click the Clear All Sashes Button.
