Rotary Cutter Tool ![]()
You can use the Rotary cutter tool to "cut" a patch into two or more patches.
To Rotary Cut a Patch
1. Draw a patch that you want to cut.
1. Click on the Rotary Cutter Tool. The cursor changes to a minature rotary cutter.
1. Place the cursor where you want to begin the cut.
1. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse through the patch. Be sure to drag the mouse all the way through the patch or the cut will not work. Tip: Use the ruler to line up the patch and the cut for precision cutting.
1. Release the mouse. Perfect Quilt has cut the patch into two patches. You can cut through the patch again to divide the two patches into four and so on.
To Correct a Rotary Cut
To correct (or undo) a rotary cut right after you make it, click on the Edit Menu and then click on Undo.
Another way to correct a cut is to Merge the patches back together.
