Insert Points

You can insert points along the side of a patch to change its shape.

1. Click the mouse button on the Reshape Tool. The cursor changes to a black arrow.

1. Click the mouse on the patch you want to re-shape. You will see the patch's "Points". The points are the little black squares.

1. Click the right mouse button inside the patch and select Insert Points.

1. The cursor will change to an arrow with a plus sign.

1. Click the mouse on the side of the patch to insert a new point. Right click on the patch again and click off Insert Points before you move the new points.

1. To turn off the Reshape Tool, click on any other tool.

Delete Points

You can delete points from patches to change their shape.

1. Click the mouse button on the Reshape Tool. The cursor changes to a black arrow.

1. Click the mouse on the patch you want to re-shape. You will see the patch's "Points". The points are the little black squares.

1. Click the right mouse button inside the patch and select Delete Points.

1. The cursor will change to an arrow with scissors.

1. Click the mouse on any point to delete it. Right click on the patch again and click off Delete Points before you move the remaining points.

1. To turn off the Reshape Tool, click on any other tool.

TIP: The smallest number of points a patch can have is 3.

TIP: You cannot insert or delete points on a curve, pie, circle or an arc.
