Join Curves and Lines

Use the Join command to join curves and/or straight lines together to create appliqué patches. You can then paint, duplicate, flip or rotate the patch.

The Join command will join both bezier and freehand curves. The join command will also join straight lines to curves. You can also join arcs together.

To Join Curves and/or Lines

1. Draw the straight lines or curves you wish to join together.

1. Place the lines or curves so that they touch each other. If curves or lines do not touch each other, Quilt-Pro will connect them by drawing a straight line between them.

1. Select the lines and/or curves you wish to join together.

1. Select Join from the Effects Menu.

1. The lines and/or curves will join together to form a closed patch.

Keyboard Shortcut: to join lines and curves CTRL + J.

TIP: Once you join curves into a closed patch, you can reshape the patch just as you can reshape a bezier curve.

TIP: Use the Split command to split apart a joined patch back into it's original lines and/or curves.
