Section Foundations
In the Section tab of the Foundation Wizard, you will create sections for the foundation block. Remember that some blocks can only work as foundations if they are divided into two or more sections. If you know that your block can be pieced in one section, you can skip this tab.
1. To make a section, click on the patches that you want to go together into a section. As you click on each patch, it will turn green. When you have clicked on all the patches for the section, click on the Make Section Button. Perfect Quilt will join the patches together into a section and turn it blue. As you make each section, you will see a heavy red line around the section.
1. Continue to select patches and click the Make Section Button to make the rest of the sections.
1. If you have made a mistake, you can click the Delete Section Button and make a new section. You can also click the Clear Sections Button the clear all the sections. Click the Clear All Button to clear all sections and numbers. To restore Perfect Quilt's original sectioning and numbering, click the Number Over Button.
1. Click the Close Button to save your sections, numbers and Print Grays selections. Once you close the Foundation Wizard, you will not see any sections or numbers on the foundation block. You can re-open the Foundation Wizard to make changes to your sections and numbers.
