Snap Settings

The Snap settings let you set rotation increments and other snap settings.

Rotation Increments

Set a precise rotation angle for the Free Rotate Tool and Rotate Left and Rotate Right Tools. When you set a rotation angle, you will alway rotate the patch precisely the same number of degrees. You can also set rotation increments when you click on these tools. You can set rotation increments at any angle you want. You can also set fractions of an angle. For example, you can set Rotation Increments at 22.5 degrees.

Size Increments

Set Size Increments to make a patch grow by increments when you draw it. For example, you could make a square larger only by 1/4 inch increments. This is most useful for precision work.

Point Snap Sensitivity

You can select how sensitive the Snap to Point Tool is which means how close you have to be to another patch in order for the two patches to snap to each other. The Point Snap sensitivity is also called the Snap Point Distance.

Change Snap Point Distance

Snap Point Distance is how close the mouse has to be to a point in order to Snap to the point. For example, if the Snap Point distance is 1/4 inch, you have to place the cursor within 1/4 inch of the point for the cursor to "snap" to the point. You can change this distance.

1. Select Snap Settings from the Options Menu.

1. Check the Snap Point Distance box and click the up or down arrow to change the setting. The smaller the setting, the more sensitive the snap point distance will be.

1. Click the OK Button to change the setting. Click the Cancel Button to cancel the change.
