Snap to Line Tool

Use the Snap to Line Tool to snap patches to a side of a patch. With this tool, you can precisely line up two sides of a patch.

To Snap Patches with the Snap to Line Tool

1. Click the mouse button on the Snap to Line Tool. When this tool is pressed down, Snap to Line is on.

1. Any patches that you draw, move, or stretch will snap to the nearest side (or line) on an adjacent patch. You can also move a patch's points to line up with the side of a patch.

1. To turn Snap to Line off, simply click on the Snap to Line Tool again.

TIP: The Snap to Line tool is a specialized tool that is best used for complex blocks such as Mariner's Compass Blocks. You will also find it useful to lining up patches to each other in foundation blocks.
