Long Diamond Tool

Use the Long Diamond Tool to draw long diamonds. Long diamonds are also called 45 degree diamonds.

To Draw a Long Diamond

1. Click the mouse on the Long Diamond Tool to select it.

1. The cursor becomes a cross.

1. Place the mouse on the grid where you want the one corner of the long diamond to be. Push the mouse button down. Drag the mouse from the corner.

1. You can move the mouse around in a circular motion to make the long diamond rotate around the corner.

1. Release the mouse button to finish. Perfect Quilt will fill the long diamond with the currently selected fabric or color.

Hint: Use the 8 pointed star grid with long diamonds. Use the long diamond to make the "Lone Star" block. To line up the long diamond exactly on the grid, click on the Snap to Grid Tool.
