Stretch Patches

You can stretch (distort) any patch by using the Select Box.

To Stretch a Patch

1. Click the mouse button on the Select Tool. The cursor becomes a white arrow.

1. Click the mouse on the patch you want to stretch.

1. Perfect Quilt draws a select box around the patch. Move the mouse to any of the black boxes along the select box. The cursor changes to a pointed hand.

1. Push the mouse button down and drag the mouse to stretch the patch in any direction.

1. Release the mouse to finish.

TIP: To stretch the patch so that the patch's proportions stay the same, hold down the SHIFT key as you stretch the patch.

TIP: When the cursor is an open hand, you can move the patch. When it is a pointing hand, you can stretch the patch.

TIP: To stretch the patch so that it lines up with grid, select the Snap to Grid Tool.
