Text Tool

Use the Text Tool to write text and place it on the screen.

To Write Text

1. Click the mouse button on the Text Tool. The cursor becomes a cross.

1. Drag the mouse to draw a box on the screen.

1. When you release the mouse, the "Enter Text" pop-up box will appear. This is where you will write or edit text.

1. Write text in the space allotted. When you are finished, click the OK Button.

1. The text will now appear on the screen. You have now created a text box filled with text.

1. To turn off the Text Tool, click on any tool in the Toolbar.

TIP: The text box may be larger than the text itself. If you do not see all of the text, select and stretch the text object until all of the text appears.

TIP: You can move the text around the screen. To move the text, select the text box and move it.

TIP: You can rotate and flip text boxes. However, some fonts do not display well when rotated. Arial is a good choice for rotating text.
