How to Move Patches
1. Click the mouse on the Sel ect Tool. The cursor becomes a white arrow.
1. Click the mouse on the patch (or patches) you want to select. Perfect Quilt draws a select box around the patch. When the cursor is inside the select box, the cursor changes to a hand. When you see the hand, you can move the patch.
1. Push the left mouse button down and drag the mouse to move the patch to its new location.
1. Release the mouse button.
TIP: To move the patch so that it lines up with grid, select the Snap to Grid Tool.
Show Patches as You Move Them
Perfect Quilt gives you the option to see the patch as you move it. Normally, you will see only the Select Box when you move a patch. If you choose the Show Selection when Moving option, Perfect Quilt turns the patch (or patches) black to help you move it precisely where you want it. Patches with fabric fills will invert their colors while you move them. This option is useful for applique work.
If you want to turn this option on, click the mouse on the File Menu and click on Preferences. Then click the box next to Show selection when Moving so that there is a check box. Now, when you move a patch, you will see the patch while you move it.
